People often don’t know what to expect from counselling and sometimes think that the Counsellor will have a solution to their problems.

Counselling provides you with an opportunity to share and explore your problems with someone that is not involved with your everyday life, and who is trained to listen and not judge you in any way. In this environment, you are encouraged and supported in solving your own problems and in increasing your level of self-awareness.

By increasing your level of self-awareness you become more confident. You will discover who you really are as you begin to recognise your strengths and weaknesses. It will help you in your current and future relationships with others and you may find that you are more able to manage your emotions and problems. This eventually could lead you along the path of becoming the person you want to be.

Counselling can help with a variety of issues such as:-

•Depression, feelings of hopelessness, low self esteem, no confidence, feelings of being out of control in your life
•Stress, anxiety, panic attacks, changes in your professional or personal life
•Relationship problems
•Anger management
•Substance misuse, Addictions
•Bereavement and Loss

Fee and Terms:

Counselling sessions usually last from 50-60 minutes with the exception of the first initial appointment.

The first 30 minutes of the initial consultation will be free of charge to provide you with the opportunity to discuss your issue and for me to inform you on the expectations and limitations of counselling. This first session could last for up to 90 minutes and if it is established that you would like to continue, we will arrange further appointments and mutually agree a proposed duration of sessions required.

Sessions will normally last for up to 1 hour, usually on a weekly basis.

Current fee per session = £40.00
