Hello and welcome to my site.

I am a BACP accredited counsellor and a qualified supervisor.  I have many years of experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds and my focus has always been on the well-being and good health of everyone I have been privileged to work with.

I originally qualified as a Person-Centred Counsellor and over the years I have been committed to continuing with my professional development.  This has allowed me the opportunity to build on my skills and expertise to ensure that I can offer different approaches and techniques in order to achieve the most effective way of working with you.  We are all unique individuals, and there is no one therapy out there that ‘fits’ all.  The way in which I work incorporates techniques and theories from many models to assist you in getting the best outcome for yourself.

At a glance I can help you with:-

Stress, including workplace dilemmas, life changes, anxiety, panic attacks, bereavement, depression, relationship problems, anger, and addiction.

My aim is to offer a place where you will feel safe, accepted and not judged to allow you the space to explore your problems. This can create the environment for you to draw upon your own resources and help you see things more clearly.

My past experience of working in the substance misuse field has allowed me the opportunity to recognise the benefits of complementary therapies and how they enhance the physical and emotional well-being of many people. This ultimately led me into undergoing training in this field and I invite you to browse my pages on what I can offer.

As an accredited member of the BACP, I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice (see www.bacp.co.uk for further information). This means that at all times I will endeavour to respect your right to privacy, and confidentiality would only be breached in extreme circumstances.
